Our music video panel this year will be hosted by doctoral student and filmmaker, Ayinde Rochon, with special guest music video director and producer, Michael Herrick!
Panelists bios below.
Ayinde Rochon is a doctoral student at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign studying Education Policy, Organization, & Leadership. His research interests focus on efficacy and identity development of Black students at Predominantly White Institutions. Rochon utilizes autoethnography, photography, and filmmaking as research methods. He works to bring the arts and the academy together as one. Ayinde plans to continue studying the African diaspora, while using his artwork to uplift Blackness while simultaneously giving members from global underserved communities a platform to tell their story.

Michael Herrick is a midwest based director and producer. He has worked with labels such as: ELEKTRA RECORDS, SONY MUSIC, COLUMBIA RECORDS, HOPELESS RECORDS, RISE RECORDS, WAX BODEGA, PURE NOISE RECORDS, TRIPLE CROWN RECORDS, AND TAKE THIS TO HEART RECORDS.
